Women's Soccer: Falcons fall short at Albertus Magnus

(New Haven, Conn.) The Fisher College Women's Soccer team dropped the contest this evening to Albertus Magnus College, 5-0 at Celentano Field. The loss sends the Falcons to a 1-2 overall record. Albertus Magnus slides to 2-0-1 on the season.

The defensive effort for the Falcons was led by sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Leo (Dunmore, Pa.) who had 12 saves in her 68 minutes of play in the game. The offensive pace was set by senior Naomi Vivas (Mexico City, Mexico) with 3 shots and sophomore Kelly Wallace (Hanover, Mass.) with 2 shots in the loss for Fisher.

Albertus' offense was set by junior Erina Ismaili (Middlebury, Conn.) having the first goal unassisted in the 28th minute of the game. From there, the Falcon's offense continued in the second half with goals by freshman Ejalam Bravo (Middlebury, Conn.), junior Victoria Jainchill (Simsbury, Conn.), senior Bridget Rosikiewicz (Naugatuck, Conn.), and sophomore Ashley Shaw (Milford, Conn.) in the win for Albertus.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the field on Saturday. Fisher will travel to Maine Fort Kent with a 11am start time. Albertus Magnus will play Regis College home at 1pm.
