Women's Soccer: Naomi Vivas named CAC Offensive Player of the Week

Story written by Anthony Perry '08, Fisher College Assistant Athletic Director/Sports Information

GWINNETT, GA. – The Continental Athletic Conference announced earlier this morning that Fisher College senior Naomi Vivas (Mexico City, Mexico) was selected as the conference's Offensive Player of the Week for Women's Soccer.

Vivas was honored with the award after leading the Falcons to a 1-1 week, including a 3-0 win this past Saturday over Bryant & Stratton College – Albany. The Mexican native scored two goals and assisted on the other in the shutout victory after bolstering a heavy defensive effort on Wednesday afternoon in the 1-0 loss to Wentworth.

This is the first time in her career that Vivas has been named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week and is just the second member of the program as current sophomore Kelly Wallace (Hanover, Mass.) received the honors once as a freshman last season.

Vivas and the Falcons return to action tomorrow night as they travel to East Boston for a 7pm contest with Suffolk University.
