Women's Soccer: Falcons upended by Eastern Nazarene

QUINCY, MASS. - The Fisher College Women's Soccer team dropped the contest this evening to Eastern Nazarene College, 3-1 at the Veterans Memorial Stadium. The loss sends the Falcons to a 6-7-1 overall record. Eastern Nazarene slides to 2-8-1 on the season.

The defensive effort for the Falcons was led by sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Leo (Dunmore, Pa.) who had 3 saves in her 90 minutes of play in the game. The offensive pace was set by freshman Jillian Megit (Springfield, Mass.) having the teams only goal assisted by sophomore Jenna McCullough (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) in the loss for Fisher.

Eastern Nazarene's offense was set early by senior Michala O'Donoghue (San Bruno, Calif.) having the first goal in the 1st minute of the game. The momentum continued with goals by sophomore Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.) and senior Rachel Pieger (Oakville, Conn.). The defensive effort was set by junior goalkeeper Jasmine Arzu (Bronx, N.Y.) with 7 saves in her 90 minutes of play.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the field this week. Fisher will be traveling to Mass Maritime on Wednesday for a 7pm start. Eastern Nazarene will be playing at Lesley University on Saturday with a 2pm start time.
