MEDFORD, MASS. – A late goal was the difference as the Fisher College Women's Soccer team fell to visiting University of Maine – Fort Kent this afternoon, 2-1 at Hormel Stadium. The loss sends the Falcons to 6-8-2 on the season while the Bengals are now 8-2.

Senior Kelly Wallace (Hanover, Mass.) got the Falcons on the board first as she collected a pass from sophomore Iliana Fernandez (Hesperia, Calif.) and deposited her shot into the back of the net. It was Wallace's 20th goal of the season, which is the most single-season goals scored since Julia Schojan '18 registered 41 goals in 2017.

The Bengals found the equalizer in the 28th minute as Christina Jones was able to knock home a loose ball of a corner kick inside the 6-yard box. The score remained 1-1 as both goalkeepers made several great saves until the final minutes. In the 88th minute, UMFK was finally able to break the tie as Brittany Charles received a pass at the top of the 18, got around a defender and snuck her shot past the diving keeper for the eventual game-winner.

Junior Olivia Leo (Dunmore, Pa.) was electric for the second straight contest as she made six saves on the afternoon. UMFK's Giselle Trujillo stopped five of six shots she faced to record the victory.

Fisher will now await the Continental Athletic Conference's decision to see if their season will be extended to the conference tournament, hosted by Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville on November 9th and 11th.
