Women's Soccer: Falcons tripped up at Maine-Presque Isle

PRESQUE ISLE, ME. - The Fisher College Women's Soccer team lost the contest over the hosting University of Maine at Presque Isle this afternoon, 1-0 at Park Family Field. The loss sends the Falcons to 0-3-0. UMPI rises to a record of 2-0-0.

The offensive effort for the Falcons was set by sophomore Sasha Therrien Dominguez (Hesperia Calif.), senior Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.), and freshman Anai Vazquez (East Boston, Mass.) who each had a shot a piece. Fisher's defense was paced by senior Olivia Leo (Dunmore, Pa.) gathering 5 saves in the duration of the game.

University of Maine at Presque Isle's offense was led by freshman Madelynn Marrow (Caribou, Me.) scoring in the 22nd minute of the first half, assisted by freshman Kayla MacLean (Ashland, Me.).

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the field this week. Fisher will play close to home this Wednesday against Wentworth Institute of Technology for a 6pm start. The University of Maine-Presque Isle will be hosting Maine Maritime Academy on Wednesday with a 3:30pm start.
