REVERE, MASS. – It was a senior effort this afternoon as the Fisher College Women's Soccer team earned a 2-0 win over visiting Washington Adventist University in a Continental Athletic Conference contest at Harry Della Russo Stadium. The win is the first of the season for the Falcons, who are now 1-5, while the Shock remain winless at 0-3.

Senior forward Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.) converted a penalty kick in the 10th minute that gave Fisher the lead they would not relinquish. It was Dorn's first goal as a member of the Falcons after spending her first three years at Eastern Nazarene College. Dorn then added an insurance goal to begin the second half (50th minute) to account for all the scoring in the contest. Both goals were unassisted.

Classmate Olivia Leo (Dunmore, Pa.) was the beneficiary of a stellar defensive front as she stopped the only three shots that were placed on net. It was Leo's fourth career clean sheet and second against the conference foes.

Elena Lopez made five saves in net for Washington Adventist with Irene Freire placing two shots on net in the contest.

The Falcons will have a full week of rest before they host University of Maine-Presque Isle on Sunday, October 6th. The game will be played at MacDonald Stadium in Malden, Massachusetts with a 2pm kickoff. Washington Adventist will return to action on October 9th as they host Trinity Washington.
