REVERE, MASS. – The Fisher College Women's Soccer team picked up their second win of the season with a dominant 14-0 victory over Bay Path University at home this afternoon. The win improves the Falcons to 2-7-1, while the Wildcats fall to 0-6-0.
The Falcons were led offensively by senior Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.), who scored a hat trick and added 4 assists. Dorn opened the scoring early at 1:24, and then assisted freshman Jenna Lindstrom (Wilmington, Del.) on her goal. Fisher quickly built a commanding lead with Lindstrom adding another at 9:43. Other goals came from senior Jennifer do Carmo (Sao Paulo, Brazil), sophomore Lea Bjorkhagen (Stockholm, Sweden), and senior Jenna McCullough (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) at 24:04.
The second half saw more scoring from Dorn, Lindstrom, and goals from freshman Sasha Therrien Dominguez (Hesperia, Calif.), freshman Calea Krause (Dresden, Germany), and McCullough, who finished off the scoring at 77:20.
Fisher's defense was led by senior goalkeeper Olivia Leo (Dunmore, Pa.), who posted a shutout in her 90 minutes of play. Bay Path's freshman Seralyn Lendroth (East Haven, Conn.) made 9 saves in her 45 minutes, while senior Camila Herrera (East Boston, Mass.) had 3.
Both teams will return to action soon. Fisher will travel to Massachusetts Maritime Academy on October 15 at 7:00 pm, while Bay Path will play at Holyoke Community College on October 16.
