Presque Isle, ME - The Fisher Falcons women's volleyball team (3-5) took three straight sets against University of ME-Machias (3-7) to finish up on a winning note today at Wieden Hall on the Campus of The University of Maine at Presque Isle.  The Falcons were coming off a very hard fought first match against the UMPI Falcons in which they lost in straight sets but each game was a competitive battle and were lost by the narrowest of margins, with the Owls winning by the scores of 26-24, 25-23 and 27-25.  But the Falcons wanted to make the long drive home an easier one and came out strong and defeated the Clippers, 25-12, 25-14, 25-13.

Chyna Carter (Avondale, AZ) led all players in Match 1 with 17 kills, while Yeryvel Catala (Gurabo, Puerto Rico) added another 11 kills to her season total.  Lia Aime (Las Piedras, Puerto Rico) led all players with 10 assists in the match while Natie Manalo tallied seven digs as she continues to play well defensively for the Falcons.  The Owls were led offensively by Miranda Washinawatok (Shawano, WI) and Devine Hoskie (Shonto, AZ) who combined for 26 kills on the day.

The Falcons were led offensively by Maura Lammers (Augusta, GA) and Catala in Match 2 as they combined for 18 kills.  Lammers also added another four digs in the victory.  Manalo led all Falcons against the Clippers with seven digs.
