Women's Volleyball: Falcons victorious over New England College

HENNIKER, N.H. - The Fisher College Women's Volleyball team earned a win this afternoon over New England College, 3-1 inside Bridges Gymnasium. The victory sends the Falcons to 12-3 for an overall record. NEC will slide to 5-10.

Senior Macy Barnes (Duarte, Calif.) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as she totaled 13 kills and 13 digs. Freshman Alicia Tkach (Middleton, Mass.) also added 9 kills while senior Ashly Velazquez (Downey, Calif.) and freshman Caroline Saucier (Sarasota, Fla.) gave 7 kills a piece. Sophomore Edsyl Irizarry (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) also chipped in with 20 digs and 5 service ace points in the win for Fisher.

NEC was paced by senior Livia Elfering (Parker, Colo.) with 10 kills while junior McKenzie DeBaca (Longview, Tex.) and senior Renee McBride-Rogers ( Midwest CIty, Okla.) both added 8 kills a piece. Junior Arianna Blaize Llamas (Honolulu, Hawaii) chipped in with 24 assists and 15 digs in the loss for the Grims.

Both teams will be back in action this week. Fisher will be traveling to Fort Kent, Maine on Saturday for a double header starting at 5pm. NEC will be playing at Wellesley on Thursday for a 6pm start time.
