Women's Volleyball: Falcons suffer second loss to Nichols

BROOKLINE, MASS. - The Fisher College Women's Volleyball dropped the contest this evening to the visiting Nichols College, 3-1 inside the Pappas Gymnasium. The loss sends the Falcons to a 3-2 overall record. Nichols stays undefeated at 5-0.

Senior Macy Barnes (Duarte, Calif.) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as she totaled 15 kills and 21 digs. Sophomore Paola Velazquez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) had 30 assists and 19 digs while sophomore Edsyl Irizarry (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) contributed 33 digs. Freshman Caoline Saucier (Sarasota, Fla.) had 10 kills in the loss for Fisher.

Nichols was paced by sophomore Luna Colozzo (Winchester, Mass.) with 14 kills and graduate student Jayleen Fegan (Mansfield Center, Conn.) as well as Junior Haylee Granato (Manchester, Conn) both had 7 kills a piece. Freshman Sydney Ball (Enfield, Conn) also chipped in with 6 kills and 17 digs in the win for the Bison.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the court on Saturday the 10th. Fisher will travel to Mass. Maritime to play Dean College as well as Mass. Maritime for a 1pm and 3:30 pm start time. Nichols will play at Fitchburg State at 11am.
