Women's Volleyball: Historic season comes to an end in CAC Semi-finals

TEMPLE TERRACE, FLA. - The Fisher College Women's Volleyball team dropped a Continental Athletic Conference contest this afternoon against the hosting Florida College, 3-0. The loss ends the Falcons season with an overall record of 25-13. Florida College moves on to the championship game for the conference.

Seniors Macy Barnes (Duarte, Calif.) and Aya Al-Juraishi (Walnut, Calif.) as well as freshman Caroline Saucier (Sarasota, Calif.) all led the way offensively for the Falcons as they each hammered down 7 kills a piece. Barnes also collected 11 digs. Senior Ashly Velazquez (Downey, Calif.) added 4 kills and 15 digs. Sophomore setter Paola Velazquez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) directed the team with 24 assists and scooped up 17 digs while classmate Edsyl Irizarry (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) grabbed 22 digs along the backline.

Florida College was led by senior Emma Noskey (Seffner, Fla.) with 14 kills and 18 digs while classmate Frista Trimble (Plant City, Fla.) chipped in with 9 kills and 14 digs. Junior Adriana Bravo (Caracas, Venezuela) added 7 kills and 17 digs. Sophomore Avery Lanning (Springdale, Ark.) chipped in with 5 assists and 18 digs and senior Emilie Selvidge (Brandon, Fla.) had an all-around effort of 3 kills, 29 assists and 14 digs in the win for the Falcons.
