LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. – The Continental Athletic Conference unveiled their 2023 All-Conference team earlier this week and the Fisher College Women's Volleyball program was represented by one member for the post-season honors.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Natividad Manalo, the rebuilding Falcons fought their way through a tough 2023 campaign and finished with a 10-24 overall record. The program also hosted the 2023 CAC Volleyball weekend, which saw teams from around the country visit the Boston area for the first-time since Volleyball began at Fisher in 2017. Here is the lone honoree from the Falcons this season:

Second Team: Edsyl Irizarry, Junior from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

A team captain, Irizarry played in all 107 sets that the Falcons participated in this season. The libero was electric along the backline as she helped to direct the defensive unit. Irizarry finished her third season with 559 digs (a 5.22 digs per set average) to go along with her 55 service aces. Over the course of the 32-match season, the Puerto Rico native complied seven kills, 60 assists and only committed 34 return errors on 519 return attempts. She was also named the CAC Defender of the Week back on September 18th.

This is the second consecutive season that Irizarry has garnered post-season accolades. She was an All-Conference Second Team member a season ago.
