Women's Volleyball: Falcons downed at Emmanuel

BOSTON, MASS. - The Fisher College Women's Volleyball team dropped a difficult contest this evening to host Emmanuel College with sets of 25-15, 25-17, and 25-17. The loss sends the Falcons to an overall record of 2-3. Emmanuel rises to a 4-2 season record.

Senior Ali Tkach (Middleton, Mass.) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as she totaled 10 kills. Freshman Alondra Farinacci (Ponce, Puerto Rico) managed to put up 9 assists while Senior Paola Velazquez (Cuaguas, Puerto Rico) added 8 assists. Senior Edsyl Irizarry (Guayanbo, Puerto Rico) chipped in with 21 digs as well as 3 serve ace points. Tkach and Farinacci contributed 10 digs each in the loss for Fisher.

Emmanuel was paced by Junior Isabella Marquez (Miami, Fla.) with 14 kills as well as the team high of 11 digs. First-year's Amber Hong (San Jose, Calif.) and Letita Bossou (Rochester, Mn) provided help with 7 kills each. Sophomore Kayson Huynh (Mission Viejo, Calif.) led the team in assists totaling 38 over the three sets. First-year Payton Stupavsky (Quincy, Ill.) contributed 10 digs and first-year Fran Ramos Rodriguez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) chipped in 3 serve ace points in the win for the Saints.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the court this weekend. Fisher will travel to Wellesley College this Friday with a start time of 2pm. Emmanuel will be hosting Johnson & Wales University on Saturday with an 10am start.
