WENHAM, MASS. – For the first time in program history, the Fisher College Women's Cross Country team scored as a team with a 9th place finish at the 51st annual Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College. The program was started in the fall of 2019 and saw a few student-athletes compete in meets, however today was the first time that the Falcons had five runners cross the finish line to score as a team.

Leading the way was junior Madison Kelley (Moosup, Conn.) as she crossed the line with a career best 40:11.9 for a 92nd overall finish in the 6k race. Sophomore Jenna Malone (Nassau, Bahamas) checked in at 52:38.4 while the trio of senior Linda Martinez (Madison, Ms.), sophomore Nayleemar Montalvo (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico), and senior Ashleigh Onfroy (East Falmouth, Mass.) all finished the race with times of 1:10:55.1, 1:10:56.0, and 1:10:57.0 respectively.

The Falcons will return to the course on Saturday morning as they compete in the 17th annual Travis J. Fuller Invitational hosted by Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The women's meet will begin in 10am.
